Paragraphs

Now that you have the basic structure of an HTML document, you can mess about with the content a bit.

Type the following code in the notepad

- Page Titles

html3 The head element (that which starts with the <head> opening tag and ends with the </head> tag) appears before the body element (starting with <body> and ending with </body>) and contains information about the page. The information in the head element does not appear in the browser window.

You will see that "The first page" will appear on the title bar of the window (not the actual canvas area).

All you need to begin creating HTML pages is the notepad program, or any other text editor program like: Dream weaver, FrontPage.

A - You can open notepad using these steps:

(1) Click on start button.

(2) (2) Click on All Programs.

(3) (3) Click on Accessories.

(4) (4) Click on Notepad.

B – Create your first web page.
